The Data Center provides a roof for GeoSphere Austria's diverse data infrastructures. With extensive monitoring and modeling capacities, we maintain geological, geophysical, climatological, and meteorological reference databases for Austria. They provide a reliable foundation for research, decision-making in politics and industry, and for understanding natural resources, climate, natural hazards, and environmental processes.
Our data are continuously enhanced and made freely available through various platforms, depending on their focus. The Data Center offers a clear point of access and links the different systems into a continually growing, modern information resource.
Through Data Hub you can download a large number of our data sets from the fields of meteorology and climatology as well as data from the Austrian climate research community free of charge.
The GeoSphere Maps web application offers an interactive, map-based platform for geoscientific topics across the Austrian territory.
Georeferenced research data from the geosciences, available according to FAIR and Open Data principles.
The registration portal enables the reporting of geological and geophysical exploration and data collection work to GeoSphere Austria.
This system records/monitors, among other things, global earthquakes, tides, magnetic field fluctuations, space weather, geodetic parameters, and meteorological data.
Located on Mt. Hoher Sonnblick, it has played a vital role in enhancing scientific knowledge of the Alpine climate for more than 130 years.
